Abstract: Vietnam is a country rich in culture and history, spanning more than 4,000 years of historical events and cultural traditions. With many important milestones in Vietnam’s history, specifically the 2025 national investment in culture, the media landscape in Vietnam is increasingly highlighting cultural and historical themes in music, cinema, games, and media content. This serves as a powerful source of information and influence in youth education, promoting cultural identity pride and through decolonization efforts. When integrated into educational systems, this can yield meaningful results. This literature review gathered studies and news articles to examine these influences and the academic theories for practical application. The study emphasizes the need for a comprehensive framework, with the joint effort from educators and policymakers. When viewed through Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory and Mayer’s multimedia pedagogies, modern media can revitalize cultural education and foster a stronger national identity among Vietnamese youth.
